The Gunslinger (The Dark Tower I), Stephen King

It’s complicated, but I read this because my co-worker (who is potentially in love with me a little bit) lent it to me. It’s very much not my thing. It’s not bad, but I have no urge to read the rest of the series. The whole thing felt a lot more like a style exercise than a book, and I kept waiting for something definable to happen, but it never did. I am left with a profound sense of *shrug*.
